Help! I'm the Family Pet!

Ten-year-old Danny and his golden retriever Waffles get zapped by a mysterious machine at the vet and swap bodies. Now Danny must survive a day as a dog while Waffles wreaks hilarious havoc as a human — and they need to reverse the swap before anyone finds out.

Danny Parker was a pretty normal ten-year-old. He liked comic books, pepperoni pizza, and his golden retriever Waffles, who was the goofiest dog on planet Earth. Waffles could catch a tennis ball mid-air but also ran face-first into the sliding glass door at least twice a week.

'He is not the smartest dog,' Danny would tell people. 'But he is definitely the most enthusiastic.'

Today was Waffles' annual checkup at Riverside Veterinary Clinic. Danny sat in the back seat of Mom's car, scratching Waffles behind the ears while the big golden furball drooled on his jeans.

'You're gonna be fine, buddy,' Danny said. 'Just a checkup. No big deal.'

Waffles responded by licking Danny's entire face in one enormous slurp. 'Gross,' Danny laughed, wiping dog slobber off his chin. 'Thanks for that.'
