Invisible!

A mysterious ring from a yard sale turns you invisible — but now it's stuck and you're running out of time to turn back.

Your name is Nate Buckley, and you are a ten-year-old with a talent for mischief. You live in a house on Elm Street with your parents, your annoying older sister Emma, and a dog named Pretzel who eats everything. At school you are the kid who puts whoopee cushions on the teacher's chair and replaces the soap in the bathroom with slime -- harmless stuff, but enough to earn you a permanent seat outside the principal's office. Deep down you have a good heart, but you have never met a prank you could resist.

This Saturday morning, Mom drags you to the world's most boring yard sale down the block, and you are shuffling past tables of ceramic cats and dusty doilies, wishing you were literally anywhere else. 'Nate, stop dragging your feet,' Mom calls without even looking back. 'You might find something interesting.'

'Sure, Mom,' you mutter. 'Nothing says exciting like a table full of old spoons.' Then a tiny old woman with silver-streaked hair beckons you over and holds up a small green ring. 'This one chose you, I think,' she says with a mysterious smile. 'It's been waiting for the right person.' 'Uh -- how much?' you manage. She presses it into your palm. 'No charge. Consider it a gift.' 'That doesn't make any sense,' you think, staring at the ring. But you take it anyway.
