Glass Half Full

Ten-year-old Wren is an anxious kid who always imagines the worst-case scenario. When their family road trip to the Grand Canyon starts going wrong, Wren must learn that real problems are solvable and that the best adventures happen when things don't go according to plan.

Wren sat in the backseat of the family minivan with a spiral notebook open on their lap. On the page was a neatly written list titled 'Things That Could Go Wrong on This Trip.' It already had fourteen items, including bear attack, food poisoning, and tire blowout.

'We are going to have the best time!' Mom said from the driver seat, pulling out of the driveway. Dad was riding shotgun with an enormous paper map unfolded across his knees. Wren's older sister June had her headphones on and was already asleep.
