Jungle Temple
Deep in the Amazon rainforest, your archaeologist mom discovers coordinates to a lost temple. When she sprains her ankle on the trail, it is up to you to lead the expedition through the jungle and uncover its ancient secrets.
Your mom is the coolest archaeologist in the world, and you are her biggest fan. While other kids spend summers at camp or the pool, you tag along on her expeditions — you have dug up pottery shards in Mexico, sketched cave paintings in France, and once found a Roman coin just lying in the dirt.
'Sharpest eyes on any dig site I have ever worked,' your mom likes to say when she introduces you to her colleagues. 'She just spots the things the rest of us miss.' You always blush when she says it, but secretly you live for that line. Back home in Boston, your bedroom walls are covered in maps and pinned postcards from every country you have visited together.
Lately, your mom has been hunched over a crumbling old journal she found in a Peruvian market, and tonight at dinner she looks up with the biggest grin you have ever seen. 'Pack your bag,' she says. 'We are going to the Amazon.'
'The Amazon?' you repeat, your fork frozen halfway to your mouth. 'For real?'
'For real,' she says. 'I think I found something nobody has seen in five hundred years.'
